Day 02: Reykjavik – Whale Watching & Northern Lights by boat

Your whale watching Reykjavik adventure begins at the old harbour, just minutes away from the city centre. A classic whale watching tour on our big and sturdy boat Andrea, offered all year round from Reykjavik. Experience some of Iceland’s rich and thriving bird life, as well as visit our large variety of sea-life, including minke whales, humpback whales, harbour porpoises and white-beaked dolphins among other whale species.

Enjoy sailing out in one of the largest whale-watching boats Andrea, which provides extra comfort, fantastic interior and seating areas, large outside viewing decks, a safe family friendly environment as well as café & souvenir shop on-board. Expert guides and friendly crew will welcome us on aboard, share interesting information about different kinds of whales and seabirds we might encounter on your tour and will explain how to spot whales out in the bay. With an on-board display of whale teeth, bones, baleen, plankton nets and a microscope, this tour truly is a hands-on floating Whale Watching classroom with educational & interactive focus!

And later in the evening, we will be picked you up to join the search for the magical and elusive phaenomena that is the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis. On the boat we can move around freely, inside and outside, and of course the bar is always open and warm overalls for the tour are provided too. Overnight Reykjavik (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 3: Reykjavik – Golden Circle

Today our Icelandic adventure takes us on the Classic Golden Circle one of the most popular day tours. We follow in the footsteps of the Vikings of old, as we walk down into the rift valley where the American and Eurasian continental plates are literally pulling apart at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of the oldest existing parliament.

Watch the steaming geothermal springs as the ground trembles and hot water spouts spectacularly skywards from the famous Strokkur Geyser and one of Iceland’s most iconic natural attraction, as we stand in awe of the magnificence and power of Gullfoss Waterfall, a set of glacial river cascades falling 32 meters into a narrow canyon with a thunderous roar. Overnight Reykjavik (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 4: Reykjavik – Departure

We bid goodbye to Iceland and transfer to the airport for onward journey.
