Day 1: Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to hotel your hotel, day at leisure. Overnight in Delhi. (Meals: No Meals)
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast we set off for a tour of the historic city of Old Delhi, visiting the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Rajghat memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and enjoy a rickshaw ride through the silver street in Chandani Chowk. Afternoon tour of New Delhi includes visits to Humayun`s Tomb, Bhai Temple, Qutab Minar, India gate and Government buildings. Overnight in Dheli (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 03: Delhi – Jabalpur
This morning is left at leisure and in the afternoon transfer to the railway station to board overnight train to Jabalpur. Overnight on board train (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 04: Jabalpur – Kanha (170 kms)
Arrive in Jabalpur railway station at 07:15 hrs (approx.) and transfer to Kanha. In the afternoon and with time permitting, set off for a jungle safari in Kanha’s National Park. Overnight in Kanha (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 05: Kanha
Full day exploring Kanha’s wildlife with early morning and afternoon safaris in Kanha National Park. Situated a 175 kms southeast of Jabalpur, Kanha is one of India’s largest national parks covering an area of 1945 sq kms. Setting of Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’, it is a beautiful area of forest and lightly wooded grassland with many streams and rivers and the natural habitat of a variety of animals including tigers. The park is also part of ‘Project Tiger’, one of India’s most successful conservation programmes. Overnight – Kanha (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 06: Kanha – Bandhavgarh (265 kms)
It’s an early morning start for a jungle safari before breakfast and onward drive to Bandhavgarh arriving just in time for lunch. With time permitting, enjoy another jungle safari before some leisure time to relax and enjoy the scenery. Overnight in Bandhavgarh (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 07: Bandhavgarh
The day is full with early morning and afternoon jungle safaris in Bandhavgarh National Park, which boasts a fairly high tiger population. The 2000 Bandhavgarh Fort stands at the highest point and crowns the numerous caves scattered around. Overnight in Bandhavgarh (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Day 08: Bandhavgarh – Khajuraho (265 kms) Set off for an early morning safari in Bandhavgarh National Park before breakfast and onward drive to Khajuraho. Arriving in Khajuraho the day is left at leisure. Overnight in Khajuraho (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 09: Khajuraho – Jhansi (120 kms) – Jhansi – Delhi
The temples of Khajuraho are a UNESCO ‘world heritage’ site and after breakfast we first visit the eastern group which consists of three Hindu and three Jain temples. And next we visit the fascinating western group of temples and the most important of all, the Kandariya Mahedeo Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Next stop is the Chaunsat Yogini Jain Temple, dedicated to 64 “Yoginis”, or attendants of Goddess Kali. We also visit Chtragupta or Bharatji Temple and its lovely sculpture of Lord Vishnu in his 11-headed form. After the tour, we drive to Jhansi railway station to board the train for Delhi (18:41–23:30hrs approx.), and on arrival in Delhi transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Dheli (Meals: Breakfast)
Day 10: Depart Delhi
