Day 1: Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to hotel your hotel, day at leisure. Overnight in Delhi. (Meals: No Meals)

Day 02: Delhi

Explore the historic city of Old Delhi including the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Rajghat and a rickshaw ride through the silver street in Chandani Chowk. Afternoon visit to New Delhi, Humayun`s Tomb, Bhai Temple, Qutab Minar, India gate and government buildings. Overnight in Delhi (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 03: Delhi – Agra (205 kms)

This morning set off to visit the majestic Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1648 in memory of his Queen Mumtaj Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a masterpiece fashioned from white marble and India’s most grandiose and world renowned monument (Closed on Friday). Visit also includes the magnificent Agra Fort, marble cutting centre and bazaar. Overnight in Agra (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 04: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (240 kms)

After breakfast drive to Jaipur, visiting Fatehpur Sikri en route. Imperial capital of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar and built in red sandstone during the 16th century, Fatehpur Sikri was completely deserted 15 years later due to water scarcity. Overnight in Jaipur (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 05: Jaipur

Take a morning tour of the impressive Amber Fort situated on a ridge outside Jaipur City and enjoy the elephant ride for the climb up to the main gate. Tour continues in the afternoon, visiting the Pink City and including the City Palace, still home to the Maharaja, Hawa Mahal “Palace of the Winds”, and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory which hosts a vast collection of astronomical instruments. Enjoy a stroll through the colourful bazaar before returning to the hotel. And in the evening enjoy a Bollywood movie at the Raj Mandir, an Art Deco style cinema. Overnight in Jaipur (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 06: Jaipur – Churu (205 kms)

Drive to Churu “Shekhawati region” and on arrival check-in at hotel. Churu is a 450-year old town and home to the Marwaris, India’s most successful business community since the time of the Mughals. The town is adorned with fabulous mansions (havelis) with beautiful fresco paintings, and our guide will give us a fascinating insight into the lives and culture of the Marwari, and get to know the people and the legacy they left behind. Overnight in Churu (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 07: Churu – Bikaner (180 kms)

Drive to Bikaner and on arrival check-in at hotel. Our afternoon tour takes us to Junagarh Fort where we’ll explore the various palaces within the fort and admire their elaborated decor. Overnight in Bikaner (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 08: Bikaner – Jaisalmer (330 kms) After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer and check-in at our hotel on arrival. Rest of the day is left at leisure. Overnight in Jaisalmer. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 09: Jaisalmer

Tour the rich and beautiful palaces and “Havelis” of Jaisalmer shimmering against the vastness of Thar desert. Sightseeing in Jaisalmer includes Patwon Ki Haveli , Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Nathmalji Ki Haveli and the small oasis of Gadi Sagar just outside the fortified wall of the city. We take an afternoon excursion to Kanoi known for its enormous sand dunes, and we also enjoy a unique camel ride experience. Overnight in Jaisalmer. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 10: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur (285 kms)

Today set off to Jodhpur, gateway to Thar desert, famous for its magnificent forts, stately palaces and grand buildings. Rest of the day is left free. Overnight in Jodhpur (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 11: Jodhpur

Today we set off to Jodhpur, gateway to Thar desert, famous for its magnificent forts, such as the Mehrangarh Fort, stately palaces including the Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace) and Sheesha Palace (Mirror Palace), and our next stop is Jaswant Thada, a cluster of royal cenotaphs. A walk through the “Blue City” is a must and our city explorers will help us discover this enchanting jewel and iteract with the locals. Overnight in Jodhpur (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 12: Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Udaipur (285 kms)

Drive to Jojawar visiting en-route, Ranakpur temple complex (opens at 12:00 hours). Ranakpur is home to the 15th century Chaumukh Jain temple, one of the most beautifully sculpted temples in India. Arriving in Udaipur, day is left at leisure. Overnight in Udaipur Meals: Breakfast)

Day 13: Udaipur

We start our morning city tour of Udaipur with the City Palace complex, which towers majestically above Lake Pichola. This palace complex is the largest in Rajastand and the private residence of the Maharana of Mewar, and visit the museum which contains a rare collection of exquisite artefacts. We then wander through the markets and bazaars to get a feel of the city and visit Jagdish Temple and the charming Garden of the Maids of Honour. In the evening take a boat ride on the Lake Pichola. Overnight in Udaipur (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 14: Udaipur – Delhi

Transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi and on arrival in Delhi transfer the hotel. Rest of the day is left free. Overnight in Delhi (Meals: Breakfast)

Transfer airport for onward journeys

The restaurant offers delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals with local Marwari influence.
