Your adventure begins in London’s St Pancras station, where you’ll board the Eurostar to Paris. Change onto a high-speed train and whiz through France towards Switzerland in just over three hours, all the while admiring the beautiful lake and mountain scenes out your window. On arrival in French-speaking Geneva, make your way to your hotel for an overnight stay. Spend the evening enjoying a tasty meal at a local lakeside restaurant or take a relaxing boat trip out on the lake and admire the city’s cosmopolitan feel and the stunning backdrop of the Alps and the Jura mountains. Day 2: Geneva – Sirmione

After breakfast, depart Geneva in the morning and travel After breakfast this morning, take the train from Geneva and journey through the scenic Swiss Alps to Milan and then on to Desenzano. Glide past snowy mountain passes, over vast viaducts and alongside shimmering lakes. Enjoy views of traditional Swiss villages, lush mountain meadows and glimpses of waterfalls. On arrival in Desenzano, pick up a transfer to your hotel in Sirmione and check in for a four-night stay. Overnight in Sirmione (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 3: Sirmione

Thanks to its beautiful Alpine setting and unspoilt, stunning beaches, Sirmione attracts visitors from across Europe who come to relax on its sandy shores. Day 04: Sirmione

Spend another day enjoying the unspoilt and stunning lakeside location of Sirmione. Take a refreshing swim in Lake Garda before taking a break for lunch at one of the quaint trattorias by the harbour. Alternatively, take a ferry trip to discover the real beauty of Lake Garda passing by charming towns such as Desenzano and Riva where you can hop off for a couple of hours to enjoy the sights. Day 05: Sirmione

After breakfast this morning, enjoy more of stunning Sirmione. Marvel at the elegant floor mosaics of the Villa Romana ed Antiquarium di Desenzano del Garda or perhaps venture up to the Castello di Desenzano for impressive views. Cool off with another invigorating dip in the lake before having dinner in one of the many trattorias. Ovenight in Sirmione (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 06: Departure Sirmione – London

Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel this morning and then make your way to the train station for the journey to Verona airport for your return flight to London. Prefer the train to flying?
